Photos show proper placement of the tape measure and there are extra tips to get the best accuracy. When you place your order a designer may have you go back and take some different measurements. Skaters and wrestlers will require additional measurements.

Get someone else to measure you. When measuring girth if either side is longer than 60" and your tape measure runs out do not guess the additional inches.. Get a tape longer than 60" or tape another one to the end of your existing tape. We no longer guarantee the fit when you add grow room. If grow room is added to a person with a deep sway in the small of the back it will fit that area poorly. Tip - Make sure the tape is parallel going around the back to the front and not falling down past the shoulder blades in back.

This is the area between the belly button and the bottom of the rib cage. Measuring for curtains doesn't have to be intimidating. With a few tools and a few simple steps you can measure like a pro. First, gather your tools. We recommend a metal measuring tape for accuracy and a pencil and paper to record the measurements. Next, write down the measurements right away so you don't get confused.

First measure the width of the window and then the length and record them in that order: If you are trying to add some color or a design element and you don't really need the curtains to function, chances are you are looking for a decorative set of curtains. This means you don't really need to pay too much attention to the width of the window, just the length.

If you need to solve a problem like too much light, a lack of privacy or drafty windows, chances are you are looking for a functional set of curtains. This means you need to pay attention to both the width and the length. If your rod is already in place, measure the length of the rod, not including the finials. This is your Width. If your rod is not already in place, measure the window from the outside of the trim to the outside of the trim from side to side. This is your width.

A - Chest - Measurement across the chest, from arm pit to arm pit when laid flat, multiplied by 2 for the final measurement. A - Sleeve Length - Measurement of the sleeve on long sleeve shirts.

Length is measured from the base of the neck middle of shoulders across the shoulder and down the arm to the bottom of the cuff. A - Footies Shoulder to Toe - Measure from the top of the shoulder to the base of the heel on the back of the piece. A - Onsies Shoulder to crotch - Measure from the top of the shoulder to the crotch along the back of the piece. A - Length - The distance in inches from the top of the umbrella to the bottom most point of the handle.

Length - For the smallest waist size - belts are measured from where the belt band begins to the first band hole.

E - Outseam - Measurement of the leg length from the top of the waist band at the hip to the bottom hem of the pant leg. F - Waist - Diameter of the waist inside of the top seam.
